
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in medication-use systems and processes continue to evolve, yet adoption is not widespread. In contrast, there is broader use of this technology in non-healthcare settings and even in non-medication-related scenarios within healthcare, such as on equipment. This report builds on previous ASHP Foundation research results1 to identify potential solutions to barriers and explore considerations for both current and future uses.
